My name is Rebecca Shelly. I was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley and grew up in Massanutten. I attended Eastern Mennonite School and then Eastern Mennonite University, which is where I met my husband, Isaac. For the first two years of our marriage, we lived on EMU’s campus as Residence Directors, living in the dorms and working with undergraduate students. In February 2015, we purchased our first home in the Purcell Park neighborhood of Harrisonburg.
I discovered a love for connecting with people during my studies as a Psychology major. I grew that passion even further during my three years in the wedding industry. Through event planning and managing a local bridal shop, I found that I enjoyed counseling and advocating for couples who were in the process of making emotional decisions about a significant event in their life. I learned quickly the importance of listening to clients’ visions and concerns, asking questions, and practicing consistent and clear communication. I wish to bring these skills to my role as a REALTOR®.
In my free time, you will often find me walking through the park or JMU’s campus with our West Highland White Terrier, Pete, or enjoying the many wonderful Downtown Harrisonburg restaurants. Heritage Bakery is my favorite breakfast spot because their pastry case can’t be beat! It’s also where my husband and I got engaged in 2013.

Originally from Richmond, Peyton relocated to Harrisonburg in 2001 when she got married. She has lived in the Town of Bridgewater since 2006 and has a passion for promoting community involvement and collaboration within her town. After receiving her Masters in Education from James Madison University in 2009; investing her energy on her family and friends by leading mom’s groups, church groups, and running a variety of children’s programs at Covenant Presbyterian Church; and teaching Literature at Redeemer Classical School, Peyton decided to jump into the world of real estate. Having fallen in love with her home and community, Peyton now helps others find the same thing. She enjoys walking alongside individuals and families as they make the significant decision to purchase or sell a home. She handles all of the details and proactively tackles any obstacles, so that her clients are able to focus on the joys of finding a home and community of their own. When she is not working, Peyton enjoys reading, backpacking, and watching soccer.
Jeff is from Fairfax County in northern Virginia, and came to the Shenandoah Valley in 2003 to attend James Madison University. Jeff earned his B.S. in Exercise Science in 2007, and has worked full time in the fitness industry in Harrisonburg ever since. Jeff has a passion for helping people and changing lives through physical activity and working toward fitness goals. Jeff bought a townhouse in 2007, and has enjoyed being a homeowner. While going through the process of purchasing a home and maintaining it, he has developed a desire for helping others reach the goal of homeownership, just as he has with training philosophies for his fitness clients. Jeff grew up with his father, who was heavily involved in the real estate world as a residential appraiser, and has always enjoyed following the real estate market. In his down time, Jeff enjoys watching sports, playing basketball and hanging out with his wife and pets.
Born and raised in sunny Miami, FL, Andrea first arrived in the Valley in the summer of 2003 when her brother, Dan Velker, wooed her here with a job opportunity and a claim that it was “God’s Country.” After surviving an unpaid internship in NYC for nine months, she officially became a Virginia resident in the summer of 2004 and married an Elkton native 2 years later. Andrea and her husband, Travis spent 5 years in Richmond before buying a house on the same road as her brother in God’s Country…or Elkton. After having 3 kids in less than 3 years, she decided to reinvent her career and pursue real estate. Working for 8 years as a paralegal taught her the importance of organization and administration, and growing up the youngest of 5 kids taught her plenty about negotiating. Having known Chris Rooker for over 20 years, Andrea knew exactly whose team she wanted to be a part of. Her flexibility, and agility when it comes to serving her clients, has proven to be her key asset so far. A commitment to impeccable service is her main priority. When Andrea isn’t finding dream homes, she’s usually in her fenced backyard enjoying her 3 wild little kids.
Katie is a Harrisonburg native, spending nearly her entire life in the Shenandoah Valley. Katie graduated from James Madison University in 2007 and began her professional journey with VBS Mortgage, a local lending institution, working as the Secondary Market Mortgage Manager. After a trek to Charlotte, NC, Katie was recruited by The Harrisonburg Homes Team and happily relocated back to her roots in Harrisonburg. With her expanded network in the area, a fierce attention to detail and comprehensive mortgage background, she provides a personal approach to each real estate transaction. In addition to helping clients, you can find Katie kayaking, crafting and spending time with her fiancé, Franklin, her family, friends and two four-legged fur babies.
